The Day the Earth Answered: A Heart Rock from the Angels

A few years ago, I was parked in the middle of Utah, sitting in a semi-truck, surrounded by nothing but sky and rocks. We had stopped to pick up a load, and and as I opened the heavy truck door and stepped down onto the land, something stirred in me.

I looked out across the endless field of stones - thousands of them scattered like little Earth memories - and I whispered a simple request to God… or maybe to my Angels. I didn’t overthink it. I just said:

“I’d like a heart rock, please.”

No sooner had the words left my lips than I looked down to the left - and there it was. A rock, perfectly shaped like a heart, right by my foot. I didn’t even have to move. It was just there, as if waiting.

I stood still for a moment, letting the quiet miracle settle in.

This wasn’t about the rock. It was about the response. It was about the fact that I asked - and something in the universe heard me. It was about being reminded that the Divine isn’t some distant force… it’s in the details, the dirt, the small moments. It’s etched into stone, waiting for you to notice.

Today, that rock lives on my altar. Not because it’s the prettiest stone I’ve ever found, but because it holds a sacred conversation. A moment where the veil thinned and the Earth spoke back.

Why Do We Love Rocks So Much?

I think deep down, we know that rocks carry stories. They’re ancient, grounded, and honest. They don’t rush. They don’t explain. They just are. And maybe when we’re holding one - or when one appears like magic in front of us - we remember how to just be, too.

Whether you’re drawn to shiny crystals, weathered river stones, or heart-shaped rocks in a Utah field… maybe it’s not just about collecting. Maybe it’s about reconnecting. With the Earth. With Spirit. With the part of us that still believes in asking.

And still knows how to receive.

Try This Today

The next time you’re outside - on a walk, in your yard, or even just stepping out your door - whisper a little prayer or ask a loving question. Ask for a sign. A symbol. A message.

Then soften your gaze. Breathe. And watch.

The universe doesn’t always shout… but it always speaks.
